Your Challenge

We (Space XYZ) are looking for an experienced development (mechanical) engineer to expand and strengthen our team. We are an innovative start-up located at Brainport Industries Campus (BIC) in Eindhoven. With a mission to bridge the gap between waste products and raw materials, we develop equipment that enables small-scale conversion of metal waste into high-quality raw materials for metal printing processes. This initiative transforms scrap into valuable resources for new products, allowing companies to become self-sufficient in their metal needs.

The technology (gas atomization) for producing metal powders is being developed by Space XYZ in collaboration with TU Eindhoven and TU Delft. This development is part of the growth fund initiative "Growing with Green Steel." The equipment is independently developed by Space XYZ. The "Powder on Demand Module" is being developed, built, and marketed by Space XYZ. The company remains small, with a dynamic working environment in a high-tech location.

What Do We Expect from You?

• You have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable (engineering) discipline.
• Experience in developing new machines is a must.
• You are entrepreneurial, pragmatic, innovative, and possess strong communication skills.
• You speak and write fluently in both Dutch and English.
• You are willing to travel between Eindhoven and Terborg.
• You have knowledge of machine construction, thermodynamics, material science, and FEM (Finite Element Method).
